Freehold – Sale and Purchase Transactions
Up to £500,000 – £850 plus VAT = £1,020.00
£500,000 to £1,000,000 – £950.00 plus VAT = £1,140.00
£1,000,001 to £1,200,000 – £1,000 plus VAT = £1,200.00
£1,200,001 to £1,500,000 – £1,200 plus VAT = £1,440.00
Over £1,500,000 – £1,500 plus VAT = £1,800.00
Leasehold – Sale and Purchase Transactions
Up to £500,000 – £875 plus VAT = £1,050.00
£500,000 to £1,000,000 – £975 plus VAT = £1,170.00
£1,000,001 to £1,200,000 – £1,000 plus VAT = £1,200.00
£1,200,001 to £1,500,000 – £1,200 plus VAT = £1,440.00
Over £1,500,000 – £1,500 plus VAT = £1,800.00
Additional fees
Help to Buy – an additional – £100 plus VAT = £120
Lifetime ISA or Help to Buy ISA – £100 plus VAT = £120
Unregistered Properties sale or purchase – £100 plus VAT = £120
New Builds
When buying a New Build property the Developer’s solicitor will always charge an “engrossment” fee, this is to produce the final Land Registry documents, Costs for this vary between £120 – £240
Sale of Leasehold or Managed Properties
If you are selling a leasehold property the landlord and/or Management Company will charge you a fee to produce a “Management Pack” the cost will vary significantly between Landlords and can cost between £120 – £500
Transfer of equity
If these do not involve a change in mortgage lender, £450 + VAT + disbursements
Transfer of Equity with a mortgage – £550 plus VAT plus Disbursements
Disbursements
A Disbursement is a payment made by a solicitor to a third party and then claimed back from the client.
Official Copies of your title from Land Registry = £3 – £15
Telegraphic Transfer Fee (CHAPS) – £36.66 + vat = £44
Land Registry fees- variable depending on price transferred
