Freehold –   Sale and Purchase Transactions

Up to £500,000 £750 plus VAT £   900.00

£500,000 – £1,000,000 £850 plus VAT £1,020.00

£1,000,001 – £1,200,000 £1,000 plus VAT £1,200.00

£1,200,001 – £1,500,000 £1,200 plus VAT £1,440.00

Over £1,500,000 £1,500 plus VAT £1,800.00

 

 

Leasehold – Sale and Purchase Transactions

Up to £500,000 £850 plus VAT £1,020.00

£500,000 – £1,000,000 £950 plus VAT £1,140.00

£1,000,001 – £1,200,000 £1,000 plus VAT £1,200.00

£1,200,001 – £1,500,000 £1,200 plus VAT £1,440.00

Over £1,500,000 £1,500 plus VAT £1,800.00

 

 

New Builds

When buying a New Build property the Developer’s solicitor will always charge an “engrossment” fee, this is to produce the final Land Registry documents, Costs for this vary between £120 – £240

 

Sale of Leasehold or Managed Properties

If you are selling a leasehold property the landlord and/or Management Company will charge you a fee to produce a “Management Pack” the cost will vary significantly between Landlords and can cost between £120 – £500

 

Disbursements

A Disbursement is a payment made by a solicitor to a third party and then claimed back from the client.

Official Copies of your title from Land Registry £3 – £15

Telegraphic Transfer Fee (CHAPS) £40

 

This list is not exhaustive. There are many variables when it comes to buying and selling a property. Often we may require further documents from the land registry or further information from a Landlord, there are a number of instances were additional cost may be incurred. We will always inform you immediately if this is the case.

 

How long will it take?

We get asked this question a lot. A normal Freehold sale or purchase, with or without a mortgage generally takes 6 – 8 weeks start to finish, a Leasehold sale or purchase 8 – 10 weeks.  However this is subject to many different circumstances and therefore can take longer or shorter. We will always keep you updated at all times of the progress of your file.
